We are so excited to have you attend our first ever Crafting in the Country Event! This one is CHRISTMAS themed! Everyone’s fav theme, right?
This is an in-person event, lodging and transportation are not provided.
What does your ticket include?
3 Days of crop space at a beautiful venue with a view! The Back Porch is absolutely a wonderful space to sit and “lose a crop” or crop a lot! The room feels like a log cabin or farmhouse straight out of the mountains! You’ll have a hard time deciding on whether to sit at your table or enjoy the wrap-around porch with a cool breeze and country surroundings.
Each day will hold fun activities led by the Maymay team:
3 Classes, one per day taught by Maymay, Shannon, and Brenda! Your classes will have the most supplies needed, you will need your Make It Kit, the supplies are listed on our website for that.
Maymay will be bringing you a 12 days album with a twist! You saw her recent gingerbread album, it will be a play on that one!
Shannon has teamed up with the ladies from SheShac Ceramics to bring you a fun ceramic painting session. Your items will be fired and returned before you leave to take with you a wonderful memory from your trip.
Brenda is gonna be painting with you this time. You will love how she takes the stress and pressure out of painting and helps you create a masterpiece to enjoy Christmas after Christmas.
The craft space will be open 9 am-9 pm CST Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Continental breakfast will be served as well as a boxed lunch for each day. Dinner will be your opportunity to get out and explore our town. Or you are welcome to bring dinner back to your table and enjoy it with your new crafty friends. For the provided lunches, if you have food sensitivities please email email@example.com.
Your ticket also gets you a 6x8 stamp set designed for release to you first as well as a Crafting in the Country t-shirt.
We will also have a few optional field trips. One on Friday to Rustique Relics, a bit of a shop with me fun. We have also secured a trip to Sew Charming, this adorable sewing shop will greet you with a warm welcome from the sweet mother-daughter team of Penny and Emily, owners of the shop. We may even throw in some other quick trips around town. All optional, you are welcome to stay and crop instead of traveling around.
A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES:
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS EVENT, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE.
The venue is 13 minutes from our store. We do not have public transportation in the area so you will need your own vehicle.
The venue is in a country setting, there is a short dirt driveway and the parking is in a gravel field. We will have staff to help you in and out of the facility. It is fairly flat and has no steep hills or embankments. No stairs and there is full access for those who require assisted mobility.
If you are sensitive to wood, or varnish, this may not be the trip for you. The walls, floors, and ceilings are made of wood and some are heavily varnished. Also, if you have allergies to animals or hay you need to prepare for that. There are animals on this farm, not near the facility but they are there.
If you need power, there are outlets, we ask that you bring a power strip and extension cord, please.
The table and chair you will be provided are plastic 3x6 tables with a plastic folding chair. We call these fellowship hall tables and chairs.
Please consider bringing a sweater or light jacket for use in the craft room as it can sometimes be cool.
THINGS NOT ALLOWED IN THE VENUE:
ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES OF ANY KIND
PLEASE LOOK FOR AN EMAIL IN THE COMING DAYS WITH SOME QUESTIONS FOR YOU. LIKE T-SHIRT SIZE, ETC.
